Luštica Submarine Tunnel & Fort Kabala

Over Obosnik peak to a former Yugoslav navy submarine tunnel on the Luštica coast and the Austro-Hungarian Fort Kabala.

About this tour

The Luštica peninsula closes the Bay of Kotor from the south. Behind its olive groves and quiet coves lies a long military history, from Austro-Hungarian forts to the hidden bases of the Yugoslav navy.

The route climbs to Obosnik, the highest peak of the peninsula, where the Luštica tours split. This one heads down to the coast to a former Yugoslav navy submarine tunnel, cut into the rock so that submarines could hide inside, and then continues to the Austro-Hungarian Fort Kabala.

It is a ride full of stories and views, with clear sea below you and the entrance to the bay in front of you. Plan 3 to 4 hours. If you want to see more forts, choose the Luštica Forts Tour to Kabala, Luštica and Arza.
