The Gornji Stoliv Buggy Tour is a ride with a professional driver to one of the quietest villages in Boka. Gornji Stoliv is an old stone village on the slopes of Vrmac, high above the coastal village of Donji Stoliv and directly opposite Perast. Most visitors to the bay never make it up here, which is exactly what makes it special.
The route leads through olive groves and the famous Stoliv chestnut forest up to the village, where stone houses, the Church of St. Elijah and the peace of traditional Boka life have been preserved. From the village you look across the whole bay, to the islands of Our Lady of the Rocks and St. George off Perast and to the mountains that surround Boka.
The climb to the village is very steep and demanding, so for safety this tour runs only by buggy with a professional driver: you sit back and enjoy the views while an experienced local driver takes the wheel. There are several photo stops and the option of longer breaks in the village. Plan 3.5 to 4 hours. Combinations with other tours are possible on special request.
Times are approximate. The pace, the stops and the exact route are adjusted to the group and the conditions on the day.
