The Bjelasica Peaks Jeep Safari is a true mountain adventure in the north of Montenegro. In a 4×4 jeep with a professional driver-guide, you leave the town of Kolašin for the high plateaus of Bjelasica, one of the most beautiful mountains in the country.
The first part of the route leads to Kolašin 1600, a modern mountain resort and the gateway to the higher areas of the mountain. Gravel mountain roads then take you to Eko katun Vranjak, an authentic highland settlement where you stop for photos and learn about the traditional life of the shepherds, and on to the Kordelj viewpoint, with views of Komovi, Prokletije, Sinjajevina and endless mountain ranges.
The highlight is Zekova glava, at 2,119 m the second highest peak of Bjelasica. The jeep takes you almost to the top, and after a short and easy walk you look out over Crna glava (2,139 m), the highest peak, and the glacial lake Pešića jezero. On the way you also enjoy views of Biogradska gora National Park and Biogradsko jezero, one of the last primeval forests in Europe. All tours are private, just for your group.
Times are approximate. The pace, the stops and the exact route are adjusted to the group and to the weather and trail conditions on the day.
