The Sinjajevina Plateau Expedition is the longest and most adventurous quad tour from Žabljak. It heads onto Sinjajevina, a vast high plateau and one of the largest mountain pastures in Europe, where meadows roll on as far as the eye can see.
The route follows about 90 km of tracks across the pastures and past katuns, the traditional summer settlements of local shepherds, where life still follows the rhythm of the seasons. The destination is Zabojsko jezero, a lake in the middle of the plateau and a peaceful place far from any crowds. A meal is included on the tour.
Plan 5 to 6 hours. The expedition runs with a minimum of 2 quads and is best suited to riders who are comfortable with a long day outdoors.
Times are approximate. The pace, the stops and the exact route are adjusted to the group and to the weather and trail conditions on the day.
