The Tara River Quad Ride starts at Đurđevića Tara, about 20 km from Žabljak, where the famous concrete arch bridge crosses the Tara Canyon high above the river. Built between 1937 and 1940, the bridge is one of the most photographed landmarks in Montenegro.
From here the route follows forest and gravel roads along the canyon. After a break with a beautiful view over the Tara Canyon, the track descends to the banks of the Tara River, known for its clear emerald water and as the home of rafting in Montenegro.
At about 15 km and 1 hour, it is one of our shortest tours and easy to combine with a visit to the bridge, rafting or a day trip from Žabljak.
Times are approximate. The pace, the stops and the exact route are adjusted to the group and to the weather and trail conditions on the day.
