A 62 km mountain adventure from the hills above Herceg Novi: ride to the Austro-Hungarian garrison plateau of Crkvice, then continue high onto Mount Orjen to the mountain pond of Orjenska lokva, surrounded by karst peaks and forest.
Ride from Kameno onto Vrbanj, one of the high karst plateaux of Mount Orjen, with meadows, beech forest and old shepherd paths, and continue to the mountain pond of Orjenska lokva. A green, quiet route for nature lovers.

The longest and wildest ride from Herceg Novi: 90 km over the karst of Krivošije and the Austro-Hungarian plateau of Crkvice all the way to Grahovo, where Montenegro won its famous battle of 1858. Big landscapes, history and a full dose of off-road.
Herceg Novi sits at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, where the Adriatic meets the fjord-like Boka. Most visitors know its old town, stairs and seaside promenade, but just above the town begins a completely different world: stone villages, karst plateaux, mountain forest and the slopes of Mount Orjen. Our guided quad tours start in Kameno, a village in the hills above Herceg Novi, and take you into this hinterland in a few minutes.
In the 19th century Austria-Hungary built a large military base on the plateau of Crkvice, below Mount Orjen, to protect the Bay of Kotor. More than 150 buildings once stood here, from barracks and forts to a bakery, a hotel and a cinema. Today the plateau is almost empty, and the ruins make Crkvice one of the most fascinating destinations for a quad tour in Montenegro. Several of our routes stop here, and the longest continues all the way to Grahovo, site of the famous Montenegrin victory of 1858.
Orjen is the highest mountain on the Montenegrin coast, reaching almost 1,900 m, and one of the rainiest places in Europe. Its karst plateaux, such as Vrbanj, are covered with meadows, beech forest and Bosnian pine, and high on the mountain lies the pond of Orjenska lokva. Our mountain tours combine these landscapes with wide views over the coast.
If you prefer a shorter ride, the Herceg Novi Hills & Villages Tour and the Boka Bay Photo Safari explore the hills right above the town, with viewpoints over the Bay of Herceg Novi, the entrance to Boka and the open sea. They take 2 to 3 hours and are ideal for first-time riders.
All tours are guided by an English-speaking local guide and include the quad, helmet and fuel. Prices are per quad, with one driver and one passenger. Drivers must be at least 18 and hold a valid car driving licence; children can join as passengers with an adult driver. Groups of up to 4 quads can ride together.
