Jeep safari in Montenegro: what to expect

A jeep safari in Montenegro is the most relaxed way to reach the high plateaus, canyons and viewpoints of the north. You ride in a 4×4 jeep with a local driver-guide, so nobody in your group needs a driving licence, and you can enjoy the views, the stories and the photo stops while the guide handles the gravel roads.

Jeep safari from Žabljak and Durmitor

From Žabljak, the Ring around Durmitor Jeep Safari is an 80 km loop of about 4 hours past Momčilov grad, the Sušica canyon, the villages of Nedajno and Trsa and the Sedlo pass. The Tara Bridge Jeep Safari visits the famous Đurđevića Tara Bridge and the Tara River, and the Ćurevac & Tepca Jeep Safari looks down into the Tara Canyon from Ćurevac before descending to the river at Radovan Luka. Prices are per jeep, for your whole group.

Jeep safari in Kolašin and on Bjelasica

From Kolašin, the private Bjelasica Peaks Jeep Safari climbs to Kolašin 1600, Eko katun Vranjak, the Kordelj viewpoint and almost the top of Zekova glava (2,119 m), with views of Biogradska gora National Park. All tours there are private, in a Nissan Pathfinder 4×4, with up to 15 jeeps for bigger groups.

Jeep or quad?

On a quad or a buggy you drive yourself and need a car licence. On a jeep safari the guide drives, which makes it ideal for families with small children, older travellers and anyone who simply wants to enjoy the scenery. Send a booking request without payment and your guide will confirm the details by phone or WhatsApp.
